New Business Survey!

We have launched a new business survey to evaluate the confidence of companies operating in the area. The survey, which is open to all firms and sectors aims to take and keep a watching eye on the pulse of local business and to provide regular updates of changing attitudes over the coming months.

Following a year during which businesses have faced unprecedented pressures and changes due to the pandemic, the UK’s departure from the European Union, plus new funding opportunities as a result of the Government’s COVID-19 business support schemes, the company identified this as a unique moment to benchmark local confidence. The open, ongoing survey will prompt and track responses over time and evaluate how business confidence fluctuates throughout the year.

“As a commercial finance broker, we work closely with companies of all sizes and across multiple sectors in our region,” says director Michael Moore. “We see a huge variance in business confidence with some firms currently enjoying unprecedented levels of trade that requires growth funding. Others have endured a year of tough trading due to COVID-19, while many in the leisure and tourism sector are anticipating a busy season ahead, thanks to a widely predicted bumper staycation summer.

“Respondents can participate anonymously and share their views on the challenges they are facing as a company, how confident they feel and their financial needs, which we feel provides a valuable snapshot of business attitudes in our area. We look forward to sharing the results in the coming months.”
