What’s your name and role?
Michael Moore, I am a director at Complete Commercial Finance.
How long have you worked in commercial finance?
I’ve been in the sector for 25 years, since leaving sixth form at King Edward VII
What do you love most about the job?
I enjoy supporting business and watching how they develop and grow. I’m proud of the role that we play in helping them along the way and to overcome challenges along the way. Finance is one of the most common obstacles which prevents a business from taking opportunities and expanding, so when we see a company’s plans come together with business finance in place, it’s a brilliant moment.
What’s been your career highlight so far?
Establishing Complete Commercial Finance and then having Gary and Phil, who are two hugely experienced individuals, join the company. We are growing fast and the expertise within our team is impressive and serves our clients well.
What’s your ambition?
To make Complete Commercial Finance the number one choice for all businesses looking for independent financial support. Our reputation is growing rapidly and many of our clients are referred to us by companies whom we’ve helped previously. Activity such as our recent Business Survey is raising awareness of our company and we have future projects planned to expand on this.
What’s the question you’re most often asked by clients?
‘How long will it take?’ When you need to get finance sorted you understandably want an answer as soon as possible – the answer is to plan ahead as far as you possibly can.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Listen to everything clients say, not just the initial request. It’s when you understand the details around the transaction that you give the best advice and solution.
If you had one piece of advice for business owners, what would it be?
To plan and get advice early in the process.
